Famagusta Film Festival, the official production of FAMA Media Group and its founder, Alexandros Ammochostianos, is proud to announce its return for a second consecutive year.

 

Following a highly successful inaugural edition in May 2026, the festival solidified its position as a key cultural event. The debut year attracted an impressive 954 submissions from around the globe, from which a curated selection of 19 films was chosen. These selected works were showcased across four days of screenings, complemented by four special tribute productions that captivated our audiences. Despite being in its first year, the festival achieved remarkable success, drawing high-quality cinema and enjoying sold-out screenings.

 

We are thrilled to announce that the second edition of the Famagusta Film Festival will return to Astoria, New York, in April 2027. The screenings are scheduled to take place from April 8th to April 11th, with the grand awards ceremony planned for April 17th.

 

Our ongoing mission is to establish the Famagusta Film Festival as a premier cinematic destination, dedicated to showcasing exceptional storytelling and honoring excellence through our carefully curated award categories.
